Ardeliza “Ardel” Claveria believes that “the measure of good design is its amount of impact on the space user’s overall well-being”. As she doesn’t specialize in designing a specific kind of space, Ardel has more liberty in creating different projects ranging from residential and commercial to institutional and even religious spaces. “I’ve always admired the works of Frank Lloyd Wright and Tadao Ando as their designs go beyond function and aesthetics, articulating profound concepts combined with an impressive form,” she declares.
Ardel has a preference for the organic style of the Arts and Crafts Movement, admiring it for its straightforward simplicity, handcrafted workmanship, natural themes and materials. Graduated from the University of the Philippines, Ardel’s dream job is to design and build an ultra-modern interior with bamboo playing a major role in the selection of materials.
