Gift Wrapping Hacks: How to Make Your Gifts Instagram-Worthy
Gift giving goes way back, even baby Jesus got gifts from the Three Kings. While it was never stated on the Bible that the Three Kings wrapped their presents for baby Jesus, gift wrapping is a tradition that simply goes with this season. In this day and age, how you give your gift is just as important as what you give. Making everything look special and festive is what makes this season so fun! So while everyone is rushing to get a roll of generic holiday gift wrappers, here are five cheap and ingenious ways to make your gifts look super Instagram-worthy.
We promise that your friends will be posting photos of your gift the moment they receive them!
1 Washi Tape
Wrap your gift in plain paper and add some festive washi tape on. You can use the tape to help you create holiday shapes like a snowflake, a Christmas tree, and so on for a festive look on your gift.
2 Newspaper
Be eco-friendly and recycle yesterday’s newspaper as your gift wrapper this year. Make it colorful with a couple of ribbons!
3 Brown Paper
Brown paper don’t cost as much as the glossy gift wrappers, and are easily accessible in craft and art supply stores. Add some twine (Php10.00 per bundle from our local craft store) to give it an extra rustic feel to your gift wrapping game.
4 Ribbons
Get some used, scratch bond papers and use the printed-on side on the inside. Adorn with ribbons of your choice. We recommend ribbons in an opulent green, a striking red, or a luxe black.
5 Paint
If you have time, get more creative by wrapping your gifts in plain paper and get some paint involved. You can splatter on on some metallic paint or paint on a ribbon to complete the gift wrap look!
