Smeg Collaborates with Dolce&Gabbana for Festive Kitchen Appliences

Kitchen appliances come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. One trip to the malls and you can easily spot one-cup rice cookers, blenders with a pink and green finish, or popcorn makers designed like they were in the 1940s. It’s not enough to have kitchen appliances that do the work, they also need to look nice — especially if you’re a fan of throwing home parties. Surely, it’s these appliances that can give your kitchen a lot of personality. Just recently, Smeg partners up with Dolce&Gabbana for a breath-taking collection of kitchen appliances called Sicily is my Love

A year after creating 100 hand-painted refrigerators, the two brands collaborate yet again to give a Sicilian touch to smaller kitchen appliances. What SMEG products that got the Dolce&Gabbana upgrade? Blenders, coffee makers, juicers, kettles, and even toasters.

Dolce&Gabbana and Smeg join creative forces to create Sicily is my Love, a truly Made in Italy project where experts from the worlds of high fashion and design meet and merge to create unique domestic appliances that uncover an Italian story. Dolce&Gabbana

Smeg’s products usually come in a single tone that ranges from blush pastels to deep hues, a complete contrast to Dolce&Gabbana’s love for festive prints. According to Dolce&Gabbana, the products are reflective of Sicilian folklore. The appliances are adorned with lemon and cherry prints, and even in floral motifs and images of Mount Etna. “All these themes and decorative symbols are intrinsically tied to Sicily and the important aspects of the aesthetic of Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana,” shares Dolce&Gabbana.

According to sources, the collection will roll out later this year but there is zero news on how much each piece will cost. One thing is for sure though, we want every piece from this line.
